JC is delighted to be teaming up with Mortimer Racing for two key races of the F1600 open-wheel 2010 series, both of which take place at his home racetrack the ‘Circuit Gilles Villeneuve Montreal’ during the Formula One (June 11-13) and Nascar (August 28-29) weekends respectively.
As with many drivers, JC Cote honed his skills and cemented his love of racing through karting. This led to a meeting with F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve, with whom JC developed a sophisticated simulator-based racing league, involving amateur and professional drivers.
As more and more pro drivers joined further driving opportunities opened up for JC, including Formula Renault open wheel races in France where he surprised very experienced drivers by finishing 8th out of 29 on his first race weekend and 3rd out of 30 drivers in his second.
In the summer of 2009, JC met touring car driver, Jacques Gravel, who offered both his car and his place in the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship. In just two races, including his first race at Calabogie’s Ted Powell Invitational, JC placed 6th of 17 in the GT4 class. This year, JC will drive the #3 Super-Touring car throughout the season championship.
